Thank you for your interest in our Gordon Setters.  We are always pleased when someone takes the time to contact us concerning our breed.

We purchased our lovely Gordon Setter, Stonewoods Chances Are (pictured below) from Stilmeadows in the fall of 1998.  Her call name is Gordee, and she is the foundation for the Meadowlands line.  

Over the past eight years, I have been working with and for Dee Gidday of Stilmeadows to learn and obtain her wealth of knowledge.  Stilmeadows had bred Gordon Setters for well over 30 years with an emphasis on quality not quantity, which is Meadowlands philosophy also.  The dogs were carefully line bred in order to produce a dog that is sound, both mentally and physically.  One that carries the true Gordon spirit.  Click on the 'Pedigree button' to review our pedigree.  The Stilmeadows line was founded on CH Afternod Sybilla, a truly Great Gordon Setter, dam to 13 champions.  When we brought Stonewoods Chances Are into our home, Stilmeadows had just finished their 175^th Champion.  Stilmeadows Gordon Setters have been shown all over the USA and Canada.  For years, quail flight pens were maintained at Stilmeadows on a private shooting preserve to work the Gordons on birds.  Meadowlands Gordon Setters have an inherent bird sense and will put in a good days work hunting in the field.  To date, Meadowlands 'kids' have earned one Junior Hunter title (JH), one Obedience title (CD) and two lasses have earned 1 point each towards their Conformation titles (CH).  

In March 2001 we bred Gordee to Stilmedows Storm's Fury (Storm, pictured below).

From this breeding we were blessed in May 2001 with 10 beautiful puppies.  Gordee delivered 8 girls and 2 boys.  We kept 2 girls from that litter, Meadowlands Heaven Gait (Cobalt) and Meadowlands Hazy Sky (Sundance).  The pictures below are the two girls who are now cherished and loving members of our family.

At Meadowlands Gordon Setters, we do our very best to offer you a happy, healthy, alert Gordon.  One that will fit your own particular needs, be it show, your family pet or your loyal field companion.  Our first and primary concern is that our Gordon Setters are going to GOOD homes, where they will receive the love and care we feel is so very necessary. 

All Meadowlands Gordon Setters are individually registered with AKC and all must have the necessary shots before leaving us.  We ask that you take your puppy to your veterinarian within 48 hours after you have received him/her for a complete health check even though our Doctors medical and health records accompany every dog.  If distance does not permit you coming to Meadowlands to pick up your puppy, then we may ship the puppy by direct air flight only, and ask that you assume the cost.  We do offer a guarantee on our dogs and we will only breed to Gordons that can pass OFA certification on their hips.
